Sibila is a transgender girl from Chetumal community who is studying art at UIMQRoo.

She is someone who lives diversity, and she explained that the concept of acceptance is an ordinary thing at UIMQRoo.

She is not Maya, but all of her friends are.

They support each other and the freedom of having a choice strengthens their relationship.

“It is interesting how comfortable I am with being transgender around Maya youth. They accepted me and they encourage me to be proud of who I am. There is no sexual or gender discrimination at the University and within Maya communities.”
