“Art Speaks Diversity” exhibition

ICDO hosted the art exhibition titled “Art Speaks Diversity”  from artists all over the world at the Yunus Emre Institute from the 3rd to the 27th of September 2019.

It was an evening of creative exchange, where artists and visitors had the opportunity to discuss the importance of diversity, its promotion, and representation through art.

The evening of the interplay between art and diversity was concluded by a panel discussion.  ICDO was honored to have a host of eminent speakers at the podium: H.E. Ümit Yardim, Ambassador of Turkey in Austria, H. E. Lourdes Victoria-Kruse, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Austria, H.E. Maria Cleofe R. Natividad, Ambassador of the Philippines in Austria, Mr. Raymond Nader, Chairman of Committee at VIC Art Club, Dr. Maria Helena Botero, a representative from Colombian Embassy in Austria, Mr. Jerson Jiménez, an artist from the Dominican Republic, Mr. Norlito Meimban, an artist from the Philippines, Mrs. Joanna Mann, co-curator of the exhibition and Ms. Palac, President of ICDO and co-curator.

Visitors were also able to enjoy the presentation of symbolic costumes made by the youth of different nationalities who had participated in a program organized by the Red Cross.
